Royal Caribbean tasked Firstborn to create a digital experience that helps kids explore Adventure Ocean, a kids-only program featured on Royal’s Quantum and Oasis class fleets.

Narrative
Briggs reveals he has hidden magical keys that unlock his treasure chest on islands across the seven seas.
Each island presents a unique challenge that must be completed in order to collect its key.
Those brave enough to complete all island challenges (and collect all of the keys) will be deemed worthy to unlock Brigg’s chest and claim his treasure.

Planning focused on a holistic UX flow that linked all games into a larger narrative experience as well storyboarding for each individual game.

Environment
Each game is strategically positioned in order to encourage kids to explore the physical space. Open-world gameplay allows games to be played in any order without losing track
of the overarching narrative.

Touch and motion-based physical installations are integrated within the Adventure Ocean space as well as key locations across Royal Caribbean's fleet of ships.

SEAMLESS GAMEPLAY
RFID scanners enable kids to scan their Royal Caribbean WOW Band and track their progress as the narrative follows them across each installation location.
